Hi, I’m Lauren and welcome to my blog- Love, Lauren.

‘Wherever you go, go with all your heart’- Confucius

I’m originally from Kent/East Sussex but I am currently backpacking my way around North, Central and South America, Canada and Hawaii.

I recently graduated from Royal Holloway, University of London with a first class honours degree in Psychology and Criminology BSc, but when asked what I planned on doing with my degree, I kept drawing up blank.

I have travelled with my mum for as long as I can remember and most of my happiest memories were made abroad, visiting: Croatia, Cyprus, Egypt, France, The Gambia, Greece (including Skiathos), the Isle of Man, Italy, Morocco, New Zealand, Portugal, Senegal, Spain (including Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Lanzarote), Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States. Therefore, it only seemed natural that when confronted with deciding what to do after graduation, I turned to travel.

I’ve had my fair share of travel experiences so far but this is my first solo trip and I couldn’t be more excited. I have started this blog to keep my friends and family posted about what I’m up to and to have something to look back on and laugh at when I’m old and grey.

The majority of my posts will be based around stories of my adventures and travel advice from the perspective of a female solo traveller on a budget. That being said, don’t be surprised if you see a few posts about travelling with anxiety (something I have been living with, quite intensely, for the past two years), acting and auditioning on the road, my inevitable (and sometimes huge) mistakes and just general chit-chat.

I want this to be a space for me to chat to you about all things travel and a creative outlet to express the whirlwind of emotions that I am undoubtedly about to experience. So, if you’re family, a friend or just a stranger passing through- I would love for you to follow me on my journey.

Love, Lauren
